Instructor-cam has began, and I'm thrilled with the results. I wish my teachers had made videos of my lessons, I'm certain my progress would have been less tortuous! The High definition images are simply stunning. They stun my laptop into slow-motion, anyway. LOL.

Exciting news too, some of my friends and students have made recent appearances in the Equine press; Hev Seems & Puma in an article by Lucinda McAlpine, Nathalie Todd & Amy with Sylvia Loch and Richenda Boughton as an upcoming "expert" in Your Horse Magazine coming soon. Charlie Wilson was the original, of course, keep looking out for his advice and articles in Your Horse monthly.

And if that wasn't enough, my "Summer" workshops are ploughing on regardless of wet weather. Anyway, some of my better moments of collection, and certainly the more willing stops I've ever had, have been a direct result of horizontal rain.

This month I've sourced a brilliant Camcorder. I've spent months researching them, and saving to buy one, so I can implement my plan. Which is to record your sessions and broadcast those special ones that illustrate how to converse with your horse on a range of topics. Not all sessions are clear enough to be useful for mass broadcasting, but the one's that are will only be broadcast with permission of participants! On a smaller scale, I'd just like you to have footage of your class, with editing and narration by me, to assist you with your homework. Software appears to be the only thing holding me back right now...no one's invented it to go with my camcorder yet!

OK, so it turns out I was never really in danger of becoming a computer geek! 6 weeks travelling all over Britain teaching and the laptop stayed in it's bag! My good intentions met fatigue! I spend hours outside, every day, with people & horses in beautiful places (except when I'm stuck in traffic...which is quite a LOT). This months resolution (well, ok. it's the 24th, but the month isn't over YET!). Is to dedicate a day each week to admin, like this site, emails, accounts & the like. I'm feeling queasy at the very thought! Wish me luck with my plan...

Most of my spare time this week has been spent on this website. Am in danger of becoming computer anorak as opposed to being horse anorak!

I've been keen to add some form of calendar to my site, so viewers can peruse my itinerary and come along/join in events. Bravenet provide a cool service to do so. Check it out at Schedule. Bravenet also provide a photo gallery option, which I will investigate. I'm determined to upload photographs to entertain and delight you, and photographs taken at lessons for you to keep. I was always grateful after participating in a gruelling course, to see some candid shots of my horse and I taken by some generous spectator. They serve as a reminder. Life recorded. Some of the photographs I have of me in lessons are quite sad. They portray a woman determined to "get it" but the look on my face implies I clearly didn't! Sometimes my horse stands slightly away from me, counter-bent with lips tightly pursed. Yes, evidence I was over-facing him. Perhaps he would rather I learnt how to be a horseman without him! I treasure the photographs because they prove how far I've come. The horse, meanwhile...well, "to err is Human, to forgive, Equine."

As I frequently complain, I now know stuff about computers I never even wanted to know! I've spent a lifetime avoiding most new technologies (although strangely I embraced the mobile phone and am unsure whether I can function without one). I have spent years rely on friends for my website, but at last I have found myself using a computer (in a fashion!) and building my own new site!

Ok, I made an attempt in December, but was thwarted by my lack of knowledge, software, and a very heavy teaching workload. It is thanks to my good friend Teresa Belcher that I'm making the time to get this site functioning and being tutored in website construction at the same time!

I believe a Website is a crucial additional way I can fulfill my vision. Downloads, training video's, my book (incomplete, but watch this space!) and other supportive equipment will make it's way into the public sphere as and when possible. My priority has always been helping people and horses in person, these alternatives being the garnish!
