Horsemanship Equipment Jayne has been using tailor-made (to her specific requirements) ropes made by Nungar Knots since 2001. The equipment that Jayne uses is chosen for it's comfort and usefulness when training and handling horses, and for it's quality and durability. All Jayne's original ropes are still in use around her property and to lend to new students or by Jayne with horses she visits and trains. Jayne advises students of Horsemanship to use the best equipment they can, and Nungar Knots is the finest, in her opinion. Equipment does not replace skill, but is an aid to it. You may use whatever you like in your lessons. Jayne will only comment if she feels your tools do not support you, or are causing your horse pain or fear. Over the years Jayne has seen ropes that cause pain and discomfort to both humans and horses, and halters that are even designed to cause a horse pain. Jayne used to use ropes with clips and knots, however came to understand the implication of violence a clip gives a horse, and the slight discomfort of the hand-knotted halters, so only uses spliced halters and clip-less lead ropes these days. In fact the training aids Jayne needs to teach a horse have decreased over the years so opportunities for "horsey retail-therapy" are sadly minimal. Jayne loves the hard-wearing rope & leathers, weighted and hinged feel, variety of colours & great service that Nungar Knots provide.
